How to Make Whipped Butter with Olive Oil Making homemade whipped butter couldn’t be easier! It does take a little planning ahead, however, as you need to soften your butter at room temperature. This could take a couple of hours or more, depending on the temperature of your house. I don’t recommend speeding up this step as it could interfere with the texture and consistency of your whipped butter.
Next, you’ll place your room-temperature butter in a mixing bowl and begin whipping it with a handheld mixer. After about a minute, the butter with have a nice airy texture. Start drizzling in your olive oil while continuing to whip the butter.
